1999 minus Fifty years ago = 1949, every Wednesday I "had to" go take singing lessons from Prof. Cairati in Zurich. The other children in the orphanage SONNENBERG were "allowed" to help with the gardening. It was said that I had a good voice and enjoyed music.
1995 minus Forty years ago = 1958 and after a four year apprenticeship, I "had to" take my certificate as an electrician. It was said that I was fond of anything "electrical." As a small boy, they had seen me play with wires and other "electrical" stuff.
1999 minus Thirty years ago = 1969, I "had to" go to recruit training for 17 weeks. I was "allowed" to become a Swiss soldier, a specialist in telephony, machine pistols, and hand grenades and - song. At that time, the Swiss Army also trained its recruits in singing.

1997 minus Twenty years ago = 1977, I used to sell American plugs, cables and machinery to Swiss industry; the machines I installed myself; I was an installing sales representative.
1999 minus Ten years ago = 1989, I sang second tenor in the yodel club SCHWYZERHÜSLI. We also sang in church and elsewhere the Jodlermesse by Josef Marti.
1998 minus Five years ago = 1993, my American wife Evelyn said to me: “It sounds like a StoneHarp.” After that, I installed my first StoneHarp, which I called NUFENEN.
1998 minus Four years ago = 1994, I had my first appearance on TV. I showed the audience the StoneHarp NUFENEN and played my first "public" piece of music.
1998 minus Three years ago = 1995, my friend Emil gave me a zither with 5 chords as a present - I presented him with my second StoneHarp, the RIVEO. The harp NUFENEN was sawed in pieces and packed up - Evelyn and I were moving to the States, to Colorado Springs. The StoneHarp NUFENEN came along with us; the StoneHarp RIVEO stayed behind in Emil's garden.
